Friends + Stash = Smash Inspiration

I had mentioned in the previous post that I have some Smash*aholic pen pals. I gathered supplies from my stash and filled little packages to send out. The only catch is that I wanted to see a photo of their page using the items I sent! It was so inspiring to see what they created with the supplies!

I store my left over scrapbooking supplies in little bags by color. It is from these that I Smash. So, when I sent the girls their packages, I collected items from my color bags.

Michelle Morrissette was sent a red and pink package and look what she created!

Dawn-Marie Kelley recieved a vintage pack and created this amazing page using some tags designed by my twin sister, Becca!

Rhonda Miller had fun creating a page of her "fur babies" using the paper from her blue pack.

Getting packages and letters in the mail reminds me of my childhood days when I would ride my bike to the little postoffice on base. I would be so excited when I got a letter or package from our pen pals in England that I would pedal home quickly to open it with the family. We loved getting British candy, letters, cards, and cassette tapes recorded by our friends. I still have those tapes that they recorded of themselves, music, and British TV - this was before cable and Netflix ;)

I felt like a kid again when I got my letter from Cathy Vee, an amazing paper and mail artist. Isn't it amazing? Inside was a personalized handmade card with a sweet message thanking me for the tutorials I do. It really made my day. My husband even pointed at the written message and said proudly, "See that?!" Amazing how a written word can encourage.
