Helmar & May Arts - Card for a Cure

I love May Arts Ribbon! There are so many to choose from and I featured their ribbon on this tri-fold card I created for a friend.

My friend is walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure. Friends and family can send cards to those doing this 60 mile walk to encourage them during the event. I hope this card will bless her during her journey to walk for a cure for breast cancer.

On the front I looped this wide May Arts ribbon and tied it into a knot. I then cut the ribbon's width in half up to the knot so that it looked like I had a lot of ribbon tied together, when it really is just a little bow. Some banner stamps makes the front of this card look like a celebration!

I added more glam to the ribbon by misting it with gold. See that shine? My dear friend is going to shine for those that she is walking for!

This large embellishment would have serious problems without the perfect adhesive. To tack it down, I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry. When it was completely dry, I sewed across the bundle and then added my layers. I used 450 Quick Dry to add the sticker, heart, and little handmade flag together. Then, when I was done doing the entire card, I used Helmar's Scrap Dots to put it on the ribbon's knot. Let that beauty dry over night and it will be good to send!

Every girl who walks a breast cancer relay or event should get a trophy. ;)

Washi tape can peel up on its own. So, I add a little of my life saving glue, Helmar's 450 Quick Dry so it would stay put!

I made a pocket inside the card so that I could slip in a note with a little gift for all her hard work. Getting a card during the event is pretty awesome. But, then, to get a little gift inside it is even better.

I love this sticker from Heidi Swapp. It really is perfect for this card, isn't it?!

I also added Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to the wooden stick so that I know it wouldn't budge during shipping.
