I have never been best at creating adjectives to describe how I feel. Definitely not as good as Lindsay Bateman can; she really can express herself well in her journaling. All I can come up with is "wonderful" and that really doesn't touch the surface of how my first CHA experience went.
For those that are not familiar with the Craft and Hobby Association and Trade Show (or easily translated into CHA), it is a place where all the manufacturers gather twice a year (in the winter and summer) to release their new products to buyers, such as your local craft retailer. It is not open to the public and to be able to attend, you either need to work for a retailer or exhibitor such as Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee, which is who I was working with.
Last Friday, my husband drove me to surprise my twin sister, Becca, at work so I could say goodbye. Then, we headed to the airport. It was felt like a long flight although it was only two hours, but I was able to feel the baby kick for the first time. When I arrived to the hotel, the Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee team was already meeting together to go over the new products. Plus, we got to take an AMAZING class from Heidi that she will be doing at the Art Venture Event this weekend. Here she is Cinching our Memory File books (with Kim on the right and Rebecca, the owner of Pink Paislee on the left).
The best part of the entire trip was sharing it with the other four Heidi Swapp Media Team members.
Jamie, Maggie, and Kim are pictured here at breakfast on day 1 of the show. We were all able to room together and I am still in awe at how much we are all alike in personalities that we all meshed together like kindred spirits.
Then we were able to work in the Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp booth for the entire show, helping store owners with their orders while showing them the outstanding new products to come.
Heidi's new Color Pop 12x12 papers are some of my favorites! I love that the new resist papers now can be left as is or sprayed with Color Shine to get a new look all together! Imagine the possibilities!!!
Along with meeting numerous store owners from all over the world, I was able to meet my favorite designers, artists, and bloggers. Plus, everyone was SO nice!
But the best part of the trip was bonding with the media team girls along with Heidi. They all make me want to be a better person. Those are what make good friends, right?
I have so many photos and can't wait until I get some Memory File minis finished to share with you!
Create Well: Good friends make good memories.
