It was over six years ago that I visited Diane Kaser, of Molly Mo's, while on a local garden tour. I loved her home and garden and had my camera with me while my mother in law and I walked around the property. I sent a few photos to Diane a week later and she said she loved my style and asked if I would photograph her Summer Antique Faire.
I am grateful for the opportunity because it has built an amazing friendship with not only Diane, but all the vendors that I have the pleasure of seeing year after year.
This annual faire is held in Sublimity, Oregon overlooking the beautiful country. It is held at Union Hill Grange, a historical building perfect for an event like this! This was the first year that the faire was open for two days - Friday night and all day Saturday!
Friday night I got there before opening to capture the treasures before they were picked clean!
There were a handful of new vendors this year including Resurrected Rags and returning vendors like Vintage Market Place.
I loved the band that played this year called Three for Silver! Their style is unique and perfect for the event. After photographing, I sat eating some good food by Cafe Venae and enjoyed listening to the music. They really brought something new to the event and I hope they come again!
Even though I love spending such quality time with the people that I see every year at this event, my favorite part is of course the treasures I find.
Lots of pillows, baskets, and beautiful umbrellas from Roost Reimagined and Mama Roost.
Sarah outdid herself this year with some pretty amazing furniture pieces. Mama Roost was right by her side with such beautiful pieces I wanted to take the whole booth home.
Some of my favorites from the faire were wood, suitcases, wind up alarm clocks, lace, and burlap.
I have to give a shout out to my sister, Becca, who is my assistant every year. This year there were enough mirrors to make sure we could get a photo of the two of us!
To see more of my favorites from the faire stay tuned in for part two of this post!
