All Things Bible Journal Traveler's Notebook

DIY Bible Journal Travelers Notebook by @createoften

I needed a new notebook (don't we all?) for bible journaling and note taking during sermons and devotionals. This canvas traveler's notebook style cover was screaming at me to give it a makeover.

When I saw Shanna Noel's journal, I was inspired to make my own with Heidi Swapp's Foam Stamps. It was the black painted letters that drew me to create my own. I had to have mine painted because this canvas screams to be water colored. It takes watercolor like magic.

Want to try it too? Here's how you can make your own!

1. Open the cover up to lay flat face side up. Mist lightly with water. Add your 3 colors to your pallet and mist those as well. With a paint brush brush the three colors one on left, one in the middle, and one on the right. With water on your brush, blend the colors together. Let dry or speed drying with a heat tool.

2. With a foam brush, add black paint to your foam stamp. Stamp on the cover slightly rocking back and forth gently to make sure you get a good impression. Let dry.

3. Fill your journal with journal pages. These that I used were very inexpensive for the size! I love that, especially if I am going to be taking quick notes! Then, add a pom pom for fun!

Add your life verse or favorite message to the front. Mine is from Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
