Heidi Swapp - July Memory Planner Pages
Monday, August 11, 2014As every month passes and a new one begins I feel extremely grateful for this Memory Planner. I feel so thankful that I have been writing #onelittlethingeveryday. Yesterday my son pulled out a little book that his Kindergarten teacher made for him as a gift for the end of the year. It has been over a year since he got that book and almost two years since some of the photos in it had been taken! He barely recognized himself! Ha! I also was shocked at how much he has grown and changed in just a short time.
That's why I do it. Time is too short and my children will grow way too fast. Believe me, I won't remember it all.
I needed a place to add more journaling and Bre's milestones for the month, so I stapled a large tag from the Make Pretty Stuff Collection.
I just love being given the freedom to add layers and more photos. I am using this tutorial, from Craft Warehouse, to create smaller sized photos from my phone that fit well and help me tell more of my story.
This time I added a few Becky Higgins Project Life cards from the Midnight Core Kit. I love the black and white with yellow 4x6 cards to match the opposite calendar page.
I am realizing that sometimes my extended family can see and capture moments that I won't. I used a photo my sister-in-law took of Bre with Grandma. Taking advantage of these special moments means I have more memories that I would have missed out on without asking for these photos.
I am also remembering at the end of the month to take my husband's phone and uploading all of his video footage that he has captured so that I can add the QRs to my album. I have no idea why he thinks of recording more than I do, but he has some great material that makes me laugh. This time he captured Bre's first steps!
I customized a plain heart 3x4 Project Life card, from the Midnight collection again, with Heidi Swapp's Mini Stamps. I love that! Why haven't I done that before!?!
Create Well: Summer is fleeting and I am trying to hold every moment before it is gone. I am so thankful that with this album I am able to at least keep the memories at my fingertips.
