Pebbles Inc - It's the Little Things
Thursday, February 25, 2016It's the little things that really count and make me smile. Some days I can be sleep deprived and busy as a mom of young children. Yet, it is the little things like butterfly kisses, trips to antique faires or craft stores, the sun shining, flowers blooming, or the funny things my children say or do that make it all worth it in the end.
This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Create Often with Jennifer Evans. I am an employee and do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.
This week my nine year old son called my husband and I into the bathroom while he was taking a bath to play a new game he made up called, "Guess What I am Saying Under Water." When picking "team names" he let Dad pick "Flaming Falcons" but he dubbed my team name "Create Well Create Often."
The object of this game is simple. E would dunk his head under water and say something and each team would get a chance to guess what he said with only 3 tries each. If we were correct, we would get a point. Simple right?
Wrong.
When guessing incorrectly, he would say, "That is incorrect Create Well Create Often. Flaming Falcons, it is now your turn."
On the fourth round, he looked at me and said, "Create Well, Create Often you will get this one easily." Then, proceeded to dunk his head under water and muffled a noise with bubbles. I had no idea what the answer was and after both me and Flaming Falcons guessed incorrectly 6 times, he said, "Create Well Create Often I thought you would have got this.
The answer was Afraid of Glitter."
