I knew May 4th would be the perfect day to surprise my son with his new Star Wars inspired Letterboard for his room. This will hang above his bed where he can light up the banner at night. In his eyes, it doesn't get much cooler than that. Here is how I created it!

Heidi Swapp 4" Marquee Letters
Heidi Swapp Battery Pack with Remote (You must have this to get the letters to light up on the banner)
We R Memory Keepers DIY Party Fringe Tape
Silver Spray Paint
Command Hooks
1. Spray paint white letters with silver paint. Let dry completely.
2. Watch this video to learn how to string your letters together and attach battery pack and remote.
3. If you want to decorate the white banner cord like I did, just wrap DIY Party Fringe Tape around the cord. It works like a sticker, just peal the backing off and wrap around cord. The Fringe Tape was designed to go around their pinatas but I LOVE using it for all kinds of party decor.
4. Add Command hooks to the frame to hang the banner across the letterboard.
5. Hang the banner across the letterboard.
6. Add your Heidi Swapp Letterboard letters and you are done!
This Star Wars inspired display could be a lot of fun for a birthday themed celebration too! I also figured, there are enough "force" quotes in Star Wars that if I wanted to switch out the letters to spell something different I could. Ha!
What Star Wars quote would you put on your letterboard?
