When I was asked by fiber fashion artist Jessica Carey, creator and designer of The Hook Nook, if I would give her creative office space a makeover, I jumped at the chance! Her modern but creative style was a perfect template to begin this transformation. I can't wait to show you the space!

Jessica's down to earth style can be easily seen when following her on social media. On Instagram, she shares her journey as a crochet artist, breaking the traditional rules of the art form to create one of a kind fashion pieces all in her own unique style.
Jessica's yarn stash didn't need organizing, however her office space really needed to be a place where she would enjoy working. If you have to sit and answer emails and schedule out your blog posts, it should be inviting and FUN!
"My office is in my bedroom and I wanted something that I wouldn't mind looking at when I wake up every morning," she said. When I shared with her some of my ideas, she didn't need to say anything at all. Her jumping up and down excitedly was enough! So, I planned out the design and surprised her with the complete makeover in only a few hours one afternoon.

Since she had a great desk, I just got to style it to make it more inviting!
Every blogger and designer needs a planner to help them stay on track! This Heidi Swapp Personal Planner is just Jessica's style! The entire color scheme is black, white, gold, and Kraft. Swoon!
Jessica also uses a lap top to work so the Totally Tiffany Rotating Design Board is perfect to keep it up and off the actual table. No matter what she is working on she can rotate the board so she can see the screen easier.
I knew that I would have her large crochet hooks and needles to deal with since Jessica specializes in large fibers. I went thrifting to find round vases that would work to hold them in. A vintage alarm clock in gold gives the table some character.
I created this fun wall hanging just for her and she loved it! You can find the full wall hanging tutorial right here. Her own stapler had a bit of glam and the vintage camera is completely classic.
The Heidi Swapp Letterboard is the show-stopper. Jessica couldn't stop dancing around the room when she saw it! The high-end all white frame and board fits any decor, but in this room - it shines. The letters come separately and I knew the Sans Serif in 1 inch would be exactly Jessica's style. She can now change out the quote to motivate and inspire creativity!
I wanted something for her to use as a mood board, while also using it to hang hooks or scissors on and settled on a few racks I thrifted. Just a clean coat of black matte spray paint gave them a hot modern look!
I also knew Jessica loves succulents and created a few planters to have at her desk. These gold foiled ones are lovely. You can find how I made them here.
