Doesn't this time of year get you antsy for spring? It does me... I have noticed that my layouts are filled with colors of yellow, blue, white, and pink. I feel like, for the first time in a while, that I am mentally getting prepared for Passion Week next week along with Palm Sunday and Easter. It feels like spring is finally trying to burst forth, although we are getting quite a bit of rain mixed in with the sunshine.
We started a new bible study called, Scouting the Divine, by Margaret Feinberg. We will be searching for God in scriptures referencing wine, wool, and honey. It is hard to relate to God in the scriptures when he is talking about the lamb, the vine, and a land "flowing with milk and honey." When, as Margaret says, "We get our honey and grapes from the grocery store." This society doesn't really know what it means to keep sheep or bees (unless you are a farmer).
So, it is quite interesting to be reading about sheep right now at the beginning of spring. It just makes me want to dig in the garden, take my son to the park, and pot a few flowers. What about you?
