I was challenged for this distressing assignment because I am not typically an artist that distresses much. Maybe you are an artist that loves the look of distress but would like to do it without having to pull out your husband's sander to do so.
Today, I wanted to share with you an easy way to Distress with Tim Holtz's Distress Markers and Heidi Swapp's Color Magic Paper! Hey, the best part?! No mess!
First, glue your papers and photos down with Helmar's Premium Craft Glue. Yes, you can scrapbook with Helmar's liquid adhesive! This glue is like magic! There is no buckling or bubbles on your papers or photos.
When you have the photos down, use Tim Holtz's Black Soot Distress Marker and pick a few of the hexagons on the resist Color Magic paper to color in. Use a paper towel and wipe it clean. If you smeared a little too much of the marker on the paper, just spray a Q-tip with Windex and wipe the area clean.
After you are done coloring, add lift to your punches or other embellishments with Helmar's Zapdots. It gives perfect permanent lift! To stamp on resist paper, use Staz-On ink.
