The last couple of days I have been enjoying creating layouts for my California CHA album. As I mentioned in the post before, I decided to create my pages first, then bind it all together later. I love the fact that I can just scrapbook with no pressure. I am keeping my pages simple with lots of journaling, something I have been slacking on... which is going to change this year! My story needs to be told and I am not telling enough of it!

I wanted to make a double page spread of all the friends I met "in real life" for the first time at CHA. Most of the photos were similar since I was working in the booth when I got to see them all, so I kept the page in a grid style using Heidi Swapp's new Clear Pop Printed Pockets to hold my Vintage Chic journaling Note Card.

Yes, I am printing out my journaling from the computer. Not only can I control my spelling errors there, but I can also adjust the size so that the font can fit in a specific space. Plus, I want others to be able to read the stories later. Ha!
I used a V. 1 Fotostack, which I had no idea that I still had in my supply box! SCORE! These are sold out now, and can hold more photos, which is what I needed. This page has 11 photos. Pretty good for a double page spread. There are newer Fotostacks available, but I was excited that I found this one for this page. I think these tabs need some rub-ons too... I might add those later. ;)
What I love, is that all of Heidi's collections go together. Here are Vintage Chic Buzz Words on Serendipity Memory File Tab Stickers and papers, with Clear Pop Banner Delights! Oh yeah, it all matches.

Then, I just filled the inside with photos and stickers.

I left one flap for my journaling and even numbered the flaps and told who was photoed on each page. It's all about the telling the stories for this album!
