Heidi Swapp - World Kindness Day

Saturday is World Kindness Day. What a great day to show someone we care! Although, shouldn't we be kind every day? I like to take times like this and really look outside my little "bubble" for opportunities to make a small difference in a stranger's day. A way to pay attention to the people around me and see who might be hurting and to reach out to them.

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Create Often with Jennifer Evans. I am an employee and do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

To make these little quotes, I used the Rhonna Designs App to create an image with her quotes inside the app. I saved the image on my phone and then used the Instax Share Printer to print them. Look how cute they are as an Instax!

I used Heidi Swapp's Minc Foil Applicator Machine to foil her little treat bags. I thought since they already said "a little something" they would be perfect to stuff.

I paired the Instax quotes with a Heidi Swapp Project Life cards and clipped them to a bag. Now they are ready to place inside my purse with a roll of washi tape. Now comes the best, and sometimes hardest part. During the day, as I go about my errands,  I look around. Really look. In line at the store if I see a mom that has children, and you can just tell from her face that she needs a nap or a girls day out, I give it to her. It doesn't have to be a big deal. Mostly I just say, "I wanted to give you an encouraging word today." I don't stick around to watch her open it. I also look for ways to "leave" these for people that I know could use a little something... I tape these bags to their office door, or at my son's school on a classroom door for the teacher. Sometimes I will just slip them in the teachers' mail boxes at his school.

There are lots of ways to make someone's day and you don't have to be public about it. You can just do it in a way you know you are making a difference in someone's life here and now.

Create Well: Take the time to look around you and see who could use a kind word today.
