Beautiful Bloom
Wednesday, March 9, 2016There is this magical place in town where I love to visit through Spring, Summer, and Fall. It is at Willamette University in the back of the campus where there is a Northwest garden planted near where ducks like to sit by the river. I could just sit and take pictures all day. The last time I went was the first time we brought our kids while we photographed our friend's daughter. It was quite the adventure...

While my husband and I were taking pictures, our friend was watching the kids. When we were finished taking these photos we looked and there was our friend leaning over the edge of a bridge casually watching our son chase his shoe down the river!
Honestly, I don't know how an eight year old can trip and then his shoe fly off and over the bridge and into the river. Now that E was wet, he made it very apparent that he would rather be in the cold river "trying" to catch his shoe. When It was quite obvious that he was purposefully "slipping" it from his hands every time he caught it.
Let's just say, he was quite uncomfortable walking to the car and sitting in wet underwear all the way home. Although, we did get great photos and a good laugh about it after we bought him new shoes.
