Craft Room and Office Makeover - Planner Organization

How to organize your planner supplies by @createoften

Getting organized in my office and craft space is very empowering and rewarding! It helps my mind think clearer when I can find everything easily! Plus, I can spend more time being creative instead of cleaning up or trying to look for what I need. I realized I needed to get more organized when I was planning. When I needed my planner supplies everything was mixed with my other crafting supplies so it took longer to find things. For example, when I needed a stamp set, the stamps were with my other stamps so I had to dig them out every time I wanted to stamp a tiny icon. When I needed the washi tape I was using for the month, I had to dig into my washi tape storage to find the roll I wanted. It seemed like I was spending more time looking for things to plan with, instead of saving time by planning in the first place, ha! So, I decided to create a planning station!

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Create Often with Jennifer Evans. I am an employee and do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts. This post is also sponsored by Totally Tiffany. I create what I love and love to share what I create. but all ideas and opinions are my own.

When I saw the Totally Tiffany Companion Cart (Plus Craft Wrap Apron) I thought it would make a great planner station! When I got it out of the box, I felt like it was a lot smaller than I expected. After a very easy assembly, in minutes I realized it was the perfect height for under the table storage! So not only does it hold all my supplies, but it rolls and tucks away right under my craft table. When I need it again, I roll it back out and it sits right next to my seat.

My sister came over to craft last weekend and while we were sharing the same table space, I pulled the cart out and started to collect items from it. She freaked out at how awesome the storage was in this little cart! The best part was that it is an entire system and not just a tray on wheels. Let me show you just how it works!

Each tray can pull out for you to reach items in the back. Along with each tray, it comes with two organizers and 4 clear acetate container boxes. This one with my planner pens and colored pencils sits perfectly on top as a book end for my planners.

On the second tier I added the other organizer tray and filled it with inks, stamps, and washi tape.

I love that if I decided I needed more space in the cart, I could easily pull this out and use it as desktop storage and use the tier in the cart to store other things. I can also take this off the cart and put it on my desk to reach the stamps better, or share the stamps with a friend that is over crafting. It is almost like a caddy!

On the bottom of the cart, I added all 4 clear acetate boxes to store my actual planner stickers, inserts, dividers and more!

Now if that was the only thing that came with the cart, I would have been pleased! Yet, it also comes with a craft apron that just wraps and snaps on. The pockets hold so much! On this side I have more pen storage, room for my We R Memory Keepers Staple Board, and storage box of supplies by Crate Paper.

The back has clear large pockets that are big enough to hold my scoring board and paper trimmer. It even holds my paint pallet in the back of the scoring board!

The high quality canvas pockets hold books like this one from Amy Tangerine and another deep pocket at the top fits even my watercolor set.

It has been such a wonderful system to organizing my planner supplies and more!
