I actually made this for me a couple of months ago and it started a little "cuff-craze". It is a way to make excuses to buy vintage trimmings and embroidery at antique sales. I actually purchased most of the trims at Molly Mo's Antique Faire this summer. The button is from Tim Holtz.

Do you have some items that you hold on to because they are too nice to use for paper crafting? ;) I guess that's what I was doing. I took a few flat quarters that I liked and added a modern look to all this ivory and white. I top stitched the entire project in purple to match the fabric and to give it a quilted look.

I have made several different ones and I actually ended up not top stitching them again since I think it gives it a cleaner look when it's not. Either way, it is fun and lovely to wear.
