Sometime we need a little push to get us going creatively. I think I had a creative overload and my brain just was done. I miss being on the Pencil Lines Sketch Design Team. It really helped kick me off on a layout. Almost like I didn't have to think to create. ;)
So, I decided to play along with Studio Calico's Sunday Sketch Challenge. Although this was for October 25th, I am just getting to post my layout. I had fun with this one. It has clean lines which I felt like I wanted to be reigned in for a little while.
Here is my take using Heidi Swapp's Vintage Chic Collection along with some of her black and white packaging. I have come to think that Heidi Swapp's packaging actually never makes it to my trash can, what about yours?
I also have been playing with my very loved Silhouette SD that I just got last month! I saw Amy Tangerine do a title similar to this and I wanted to try it. I used Ali Edwards' handwriting font for the word "trail" and then misted the white cardstock with Black Velvet Color Shine.
It felt good to have fun scrapbooking without thinking about the design at all. Studio Calico did the hard work for me already.
Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday, Becca and I had a blast! Then today we are off to have a great time at the annual Craft Warehouse Open House!!! We love this every year! You can follow the adventure at Instagram by following me @createoften!
