Happy birthday!!! My son turned 8 yesterday and over the weekend we had a little party to celebrate. Boy, did he wake up surprised by his little display and cake! I guess it doesn't matter how old you are you will always love seeing your name (or initial in this case) in lights!
He wanted everything to match Minecraft ("Steve not the Creeper, mom. I don't like the Creeper."). So, I created Heidi Swapp's tassel banner and a cake topper with some of her new Minc Foil Applicator embellishments. I glued the "hello" and the "8" on skewers, then cut them to size before adding them to the cake. The cake stand was one I created for my daughter's birthday and it was created with a glass plate and a candle holder - can you believe it?!
These letters look stunning in green Minc Reactive Foil made specially for the Minc Foil Applicator. I just can't get enough of it. It looks so fancy and everyone at the party was so impressed with something that took me a minuted to run though the machine to make. Seriously, it was as easy as that!
I added this tray from Craft Warehouse and placed the gift bags inside along with a mason jar of forks and added the cups here too.
I spray painted the inside and outside edge of the Marquee Love letter in gold. I didn't glue the paper down in the letter so that we can switch it out to match his room or maybe even have it hanging in our living room!
