Yes, I did get down to the ground with my phone and turned it upside down just so I can take this photo. I knew right then that I wanted to add this wood veneer to the page. I love how it turned out. I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Salmon and then misted it again with White to tone the color down.
The layout was inspired by the quote on a postcard that Ali Edwards was handing out at the Studio Calico booth during CHA this month. I pulled all the papers I thought would work with the postcard from Heidi Swapp's Hello Gorgeous 12x12 paper pad and then added some Minc Ephemera and a Memory Planner frame to the page.
It is one of several pages I have been working on documenting my recent trip to California with my Heidi Swapp Media Team (aka "besties"). These girls mean so much to me.
