DIY Notebooks
Tuesday, August 15, 2017Anyone else love long walks down aisles of paper, notebooks, pens and organization supplies? I love back to school supplies. I love cute supplies that are just-my-style. This is the time of year I find plain notebooks and pencil pouches and make them unique! These plain kraft notebooks got a makeover and I can't wait to show you what I did!
DIY Take Note Booklets
Wednesday, April 19, 2017A practical gift that has great presentation makes an impression when it comes to Teacher Appreciation gifts. I also love a project that comes together quick, especially when there are 9 teachers to make for! I created a note booklet that uses a basic card and envelope, which is great because you can use any card set you love or have on hand to make this yourself!
DIY Gift Wrap
Friday, December 23, 2016This month has been such a blessing in so many ways. My husband and I got the biggest Christmas present of our lives. We purchased a home! Even with the crazy appraisal crisis here in the Northwest, somehow everything moved extremely fast and we were closing on the house the second week of December!
DIY Journal Stickers
Thursday, September 8, 2016Who doesn't love an empty journal just waiting to jot new thoughts down in?! I have been on the hunt for new plain journals so that I can decorate them myself. Sometimes I love to add to the front what I will use the journal for and sometimes I just love encouraging words to get me motivated! Plus, I love to give them away as gifts!
DIY Minc Foiled Vinyl
Thursday, March 24, 2016I love using vinyl on my projects. I have used it on glass, ceramic, wood, canvas, in/on my planner, and more! When I realized that vinyl could be foiled and run through the Heidi Swapp Minc Foil Applicator Machine my mind was blown. Foiled vinyl can get pricey and I usually don’t use a lot for a specific project. I would love the possibility to customize my vinyl with all the different color Minc foils.
Gold Foiled Gift Boxes
Wednesday, February 17, 2016When I saw these gift gold foiled gift boxes by Jen Hadfield (Tatertots & Jello) for Pebbles Inc., I knew they would make the perfect party gift!
Heidi Swapp - Halloween Ghost Marquee
Wednesday, October 21, 2015I love gift giving. If I can make something for someone else that makes their day, I will do it! It feels good to give random acts of kindness. This year, I have family members that love Halloween. Fall is their favorite season and when I got all the Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Halloween shapes I gave my sister-in-law first pick.
Heidi Swapp - Teacher's Appreciation
Thursday, May 7, 2015I thought I was ahead of the game this year. I knew I would have too much to do right after coming back from Snap! Conference. So, I created some early Teacher's Appreciation gifts and gave them before I left.
The problem is, I can't remember who I gave gifts to. I forgot to write a list of names. So, now I feel obligated to start over because I would hate it if one teacher got a gift and another didn't. It's a serious dilemma.

Heidi Swapp - Homemade Peppermint Lip Balm
Thursday, December 18, 2014Anyone who knows me knows I get excited about trying out new gift ideas during the holidays. Christmas time is the best time of year to get working on a new DIY! I also love giving. It is one of my love languages. I love give to anyone this time of year. Sometimes I like to even have little gifts in my purse, just in case I am out and see someone that could use a little something to 'make their day.'
Now, I don't have a huge budget. We are talking less than a $1 per gift. So, what better way to make it special than by making it 'homemade'? This fun gift idea of homemade lip balm in a gift bag is up on Heidi Swapp's blog! I even share the recipe!

Craft Warehouse - Bailey's Irish and Cream
Tuesday, September 2, 2014Last week a friend came by with the yummiest homemade Bailey's Irish and Cream. When my husband and I tried it we both looked at each other and said we had to make our own! Our friend had it in a recycled snap bottle which made me think of the coolest snap bottles Craft Warehouse carries. Which then spun the thought of all the cool gifts I could give this coming holiday season!
I share the recipe on the Craft Warehouse blog here along with this "game day" version!

Heidi Swapp - Mini Memory File Album Garden Journal
Wednesday, December 11, 2013What better way to make a gardener's Christmas than presenting them with their own Garden Journal? Well, I know my mother in law would probably prefer plants, sunshine, and time out in the dirt, but this is the next best thing when spending a winter indoors. She can plan to her heart's content in this little book.
This front cover was created using Heidi Swapp's 101 Ideas Project Sheet. All I needed was a good kick start and the project sheet did that for me.
This journal needed to be filled with photos of the garden as my mother in law is not a crafter. As you can tell from the photos... she is a gardener. So, I took Jamie Pate's idea of adding velum into the large clear pages and decorated the front of them, knowing she would never get pictures printed for this book.
I actually used photos of my family out in her garden picking produce. One of the reasons why my in laws have a garden is to bless their family with the work of their labor. So to have photos of us enjoying our time on the property, I know would be special.
There is plenty of room to write notes, especially when adding a FotoStack!
I know my mother in law will appreciate this photo of the Brussels Sprouts that never made it this year. It was their first year planting it and I know some notes will go down about what they could do better for the next crop.
Every garden journal needs a "drama" page. Seriously.
I am really looking forward to seeing her face when she opens this gift. It is my favorite part of Christmas... seeing someone open a gift that you created unique just for them out of love.
Create Well: Use the Mini Memory File Album to create a one of a kind journal that includes plenty of photos and places to jot things down!
