How to Make Your Own Bible Journal Stamp

Illustrated Faith Bible Journaling - how to create your own bible journaling re-inking stamp. Perfect for thin bible pages! by @createoften

Right now, a few days a week, I am studying about God's character. Last week I chose from my list "Sovereign" and with it Psalm 93, remembering that God is above and over all, controlling all things.

This was a passage where I felt like I needed to read over and over again, pondering the events of last week. There is so much that I am not in control of even in my own life and grief can overcome me when I think of the hurting people in this world. When I don't know what to do, this passage comforts me to know that God is in control. He will always stand firm and His ways never change. He above all is love and no matter what happens in my life, I can look to Him to help. Most of all I can give my worries and questions to Him.

When I was introduced the the Silhouette Mint stamp maker, I was intrigued. I loved the idea of creating a custom stamp for Bible journaling and planning, but a reinking stamp was not something I had considered. Here are some questions that I asked and know you might like to know the answers to as well!

What is the Mint?

It is a digital machine to create your own stamps from a computer with easy-to-use software that comes with the machine.

How does it work?

After creating a design on the computer, you can then place the stamp through the machine and it etches out your design on the stamp. It takes minutes. You then can place the stamp on it's own re-inker and wooden block.

How many times can you use the stamp?

Since it is re-inking, there is no need to carry a stamp pad around with you. The stamp can be used about 50 times before needing to add more ink again.

Then I watched this video and thought it looked easy enough!

So, I had a go at creating my own Bible Journaling pattern stamp and I am totally in love with it! It doesn't bleed and is perfect for layering on top of paint too! The best part is I created the pattern randomly so that I could layer and reuse it over and over on my page. I love how it turned out so much!

The wooden blocks are removable as well, so I can interchange them with other stamps I have made at this size.
