Something that I have been talking about with my girlfriends lately has been the need to simplify our lives. The more that we seem to hold on to, the more disorganized we feel. Everywhere there seems to be more "stuff"... more to keep clean. Last year I heard a quote that I can't seem to shake, "Clutter is your procrastination."

How I Store Handmade Cards
Sunday, August 27, 2017Something that I have been talking about with my girlfriends lately has been the need to simplify our lives. The more that we seem to hold on to, the more disorganized we feel. Everywhere there seems to be more "stuff"... more to keep clean. Last year I heard a quote that I can't seem to shake, "Clutter is your procrastination."
Heidi Swapp - Magnolia Jane Interative Gift Card Holders
Monday, March 13, 2017I am so grateful that my family is on the mend. We have been taking turns getting sick a week at at time. Being in a bed for almost an entire week myself, in the middle of it all, forced me to slow down and rest. As I started to feel better, I had a list of things I wanted to create and these unique gift card holders was on it!

Hello Beautiful
Monday, March 21, 2016I was in the grocery department store last week just for a couple of things, when we passed the sunglasses. My two year old from her cart called out, "Glasses! Glasses!" Who can resist a two year old trying on sunglasses? So, I let her have about five minutes of switching out styles and admiring herself in the mirror. All the while a woman was watching us from the opposite department...

Pink Paislee - You are My Sunshine
Wednesday, March 25, 2015With Easter around the corner, I like to count my many blessings. Just having eggs around this time of year reminds me of how many years we couldn't do egg hunts or Easter egg dying because my son was allergic to just touching them. We have come a long way.
When I saw this stamp at Craft Warehouse I had to get it. I mean, aren't they darling. I still know several people in my life that would love getting a cute card like this in the mail. Something that will just make them smile. Don't you?
The weather has been teasing as usual Spring weather does. The sun comes out one moment with blue skies and the next it downpours! Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss is filled with spring colors that get me in the mood for the season!
I hope you are taking advantage of all that comes with Spring! I know I am!
Create Well: Who in your life is your sunshine? Send them a card to tell them so.
Heidi Swapp - Home Sweet Home
Wednesday, March 11, 2015So my sister in law recently moved. It was that same week that I got my Unity Stamp of the Week! I was so excited that I could use it for some snail mail. It's always fun living in a new home and getting mail for the first time, don't you think so?
I really had a good time coloring in the stamp and adding a little watercolor base. Then, I backed it with beautiful Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock. Then I layered it on Heidi Swapp Hello Beautiful papers from the 12x12 paper pad. It matched perfectly.
I also embraced my inner fear of glitter by using Heidi's Marquee Love glitter tape. You know what? I have been missing my lint brush for a month and I found it just in time! The only thing is - I didn't need it! This glitter tape doesn't shed like I thought it would!
Now, it's time to pop this thing in the mail and make someone's day!
Create Well: Add a pop of bling with glitter tape and make someone's day!
Bazzill Basics - Sending My Love
Friday, February 20, 2015I have been thinking often this month about how I can really share random acts of kindness. As a stay at home mom it is easy to stay in my little box and not think outside of it. One way I decided I could help others is by sharing an encouraging word. What better way is there to do that than with a handmade card?!
With this one, I have used WeR Memory Keepers' globe shape die and cut it from Bazzill Gold Foil Board cardstock. The die comes with the globe embossed too - I love that. I couldn't help adding a little handmade paper airplane.
The globe I picked up at my local Craft Warehouse matches perfectly! I have made a few of these to keep on hand for when I am ready to spread a little cheer, I can do it quickly!
Create Well: Spread a little random acts of kindess. You can do something for someone even from home!
Craft Warehouse and Unity Stamp Company - I Love Your Heart and Soul
Tuesday, February 17, 2015My sister gave me such a great Christmas present. She signed me up for the Unity Stamp Company Stamp of the Week Club. So, it has been like Christmas every week since the first week of December. I love opening up my package for a surprise. The deal was that if she was to do this that I couldn't sneak on to the site to see what the stamp of the week was going to be. I think that's fair.
This little guy is so sweet and the sentiment can be used over and over again. I chose to use the exclusive Authentique Two Valentines 12x12 paper pad! Really, there are so many universal patterns in this pack that I could use for so many other projects other than a holiday!
I can't wait to show you some more of the stamps I have added to my collection these last few months!
Create Well: Good surprises can come in small packages.
Bazzill Basics - I Love You Heart and Soul
Monday, February 9, 2015How many cards are you going to hand out this week? I share this little beauty on the Bazzill Basics blog today. I also share why I love to take time on Valentine's Day to give cards to those people, who, well... aren't very nice. ;)
Does that sound a bit odd? Yeah, maybe. Then, I remember that one day years ago, when I was teaching, a father came to pick up his children. He was so rude, mean, and lashed out at the teachers. We later found out that his wife had left him that day.
I have come to learn that everyone is going through something. If someone is always in a bad mood, maybe it is for a reason. Hop on over to Bazzill's blog where I share what I have done every year on this holiday for someone who is a little hard to like!
Create Well: Share the love this week!
